District Primary Education Office, Noakhali is committed to ensuring quality pre-primary and primary education.  In order to achieve the desired ratio of teachers to students in the classrooms, 699 teachers have been recruited in this district and 638 classrooms have been constructed.  369 tube wells and 343 washblocks have been constructed to make the students health conscious and to create a conducive learning environment.  Free textbooks printed in four colors have been distributed to all students on January 1.  From the financial year 2017-18, stipends are being paid in the mother account of all the students available through mobile banking.  Annual allocation of Rs. 50,000 to Rs.  Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament and Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament were held with the participation of Government Primary School students of the district.  The overall responsibility of primary education is constitutionally on the state and considering that primary education has been made constitutionally unpaid and compulsory.
